Daily Musings: Mitt Romney, Nintendo and Robot Drivers

Mitt Romney is a good boy
I just read something about Mitt Romney. He drinks milk instead of beer. Has 'gee' and 'darn' in his vocabulary. Seems like a really good person to me. So I might vote for him if I am in the US.

As for Obama... he is in troubled waters. With the economy and medical insurance not working according to plan... what has he got to say about his promises that are broken. His term may have been too short to do much, but many people will see him as a failure. I like Obama. Who doesn't? He has a few more months to increase his popularity. All is not lost.

Nintendo might be a sinking ship
Is Nintendo heading in the direction of the Blackberry? Not only is Apple sinking Blackberry... it is also sinking Nintendo. Many people buy iPods, iPads, and iPhones to play games now. If I have those to play games that a lot are free... why would I get a Nintendo 3DS? Well... I have an iPad and a iPod. But I don't play games with it. So I play with 3DS. I'm loyal to Nintendo. Always was. But people like me are few. So Nintendo can't rely on us to survive. A million copies of Mario Kart 7 was sold. There is an installment base of 14 million units sold. A million isn't much. A million is as much loyal fans like us number. So... I hope for the best for Nintendo. They survived the Nintendo 64... they should survive now. We just have to wait for the next big thing like the Wii. By the way... Nintendo Wii U is not as awesome as Wii when it was introduced. I wish they didn't just add a U and got something new. It shows people in the creative department are slacking.

What Nintendo can learn from Apple?
Innovate like crazy Nintendo. That is the way to survive. Be as creative as you did with the Wii. You got to find some way to create a game that changes people's lives. Somehow... I would suggest a game helping people with their work. Since you helped people with working out, why not help people in their office work. If I knew how... I would let you know ASAP. But everybody works. How do you make work fun for us? Dear Nintendo... You have your R&D centre. Please work on it. Thanks. With love, dre4mkid

Robot Drivers
I read in the magazine 'Wired', that robot drivers will turn up somewhere near 2019. When that happens, there will be no need for taxi drivers. Their occupation will be totally gone. The robots observe everything around them with their sensors. They can compute distance, speed and how to interact with objects around them. When to speed up, when to keep a distance are all taken care of by the computer.

Soon, there will be robot taxi drivers. They will be at your house on time when called. They will make cars a safe form of transport. No more accidents... I hope. They will also make the roads safer than ever.

Do I look forward to a robot driver for myself? Errr...Do they talk like taxi drivers????
